Glowtape LLC operates an optional text service for theatre coordination. Participating theatres share a Glowtape number, and each update identifies the theatre that sent it.
Choose who may text you
- Sign in to your own Glowtape account and open Text preferences.
- Choose one of your theatres and enter a mobile number you control.
- Read the text permission, check the unchecked consent box, and choose Allow texts.
You choose separately for each theatre. Adding a phone number to your profile, submitting an audition, or appearing in an imported contact list does not subscribe you. The initial rollout accepts adult account holders; a parent or guardian uses their own contact details.

This is an example for the fictional Lantern Theatre. It does not subscribe anyone. Your signed-in form shows your selected theatre and starts with an unchecked box.
What you are subscribing to
Recurring automated theatre coordination messages may include audition updates, casting-offer notices, rehearsal calls, and schedule changes. Message frequency varies with your theatre activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, auditioning, or participation.
Your first notice combines a Glowtape introduction, the shared-number STOP instructions, and the theatre update in one text. A theatre abbreviation identifies its updates, such as “ACT: Your rehearsal call has changed. Open Glowtape to review it.”
Open Glowtape to reply to your theatre. If you reply by text, start with the theatre's abbreviation and a colon, such as “ACT: Is rehearsal still at 7?” Replies without a theatre abbreviation are not routed to theatre staff.
Glowtape does not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Read the Privacy policy and Text terms.
Stop one theatre or all Glowtape texts
Use Text preferences to stop only one theatre. Reply STOP to the shared number to stop all Glowtape texts from that number. You may receive a final confirmation of your opt-out.
After STOP, reply START to remove the number-wide block. Then open Text preferences and give fresh permission for each theatre you want to hear from. Old subscriptions are not automatically restored.

Reply HELP or email hello@glowtape.app. Contact your theatre directly about a time-sensitive rehearsal or schedule change. Texts can be delayed; Glowtape is not an emergency service.
