Accounts + access

You must be at least 13 to create or directly use your own Glowtape account. People under 13 may browse public information, but a parent or legal guardian must work with the theatre for any participation; a child under 13 may not have an account. For ages 13–17, some production features require approval from a parent or legal guardian using the adult's own account. Your account belongs to you and may be used across theatres. Creating an account does not grant access to a theatre or production. Theatre administrators and production managers assign roles and permissions. Keep sign-in links, authentication codes, and recovery information private, and provide accurate profile and contact information. If you act for a theatre, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it within the permissions you use. If you upload a theatre contact list or send invitations, you also confirm that the theatre has a lawful reason to hold and use that information. Do not include street addresses, birthdates, Social Security numbers, financial information, or health information in generic roster notes. Do not use roster imports or invitations for unsolicited bulk messages.

Your content

You keep the rights you already have in information, files, links, photos, video, and other material you add. You give Glowtape a limited, nonexclusive permission to store, format, copy, transmit, back up, and display that material only as needed to operate the service for the people and theatres you select. That permission ends when the material is deleted, except for limited backups, security records, and material Glowtape must preserve by law.

Production rights

Glowtape helps theatres work under their own agreements; it does not interpret, extend, replace, or grant those agreements. You and the theatre are responsible for permission to upload, store, copy, adapt, record, stream, display, perform, publicize, or share each item in the way you choose. This includes scripts, lyrics, scores, rehearsal tracks, choreography, artwork, photos, and recordings. Add or share material only when you are authorized to do so.

Acceptable use

Do not impersonate another person, harass participants, upload unlawful or harmful material, bypass access controls, probe another theatre's data, interfere with the service, or use Glowtape to send spam. Access may be limited when needed to address abuse or protect accounts, theatres, and productions. Questions, replies, and shared materials can be reported in context; the content reporting guide lists the standards and support path.

Removal + copyright concerns

Glowtape may restrict or remove material, links, accounts, or theatre access when needed to address a rights complaint, unlawful use, repeated infringement, security problem, or violation of these terms. Copyright concerns can be reported through the support page.

Calls, notices + safety

Calls, conflicts, attendance, reports, and notifications are coordination tools. Users should verify time-sensitive changes with their theatre. Push, email, and text delivery can be delayed or disabled by a device or provider. Glowtape is not an emergency, medical, or workplace-safety reporting service.

Glowtape theatre text messages

When you explicitly opt in, Glowtape may send recurring automated theatre coordination texts for the theatres you choose, including audition updates, casting-offer notices, rehearsal calls, and schedule changes. Each theatre is identified in its messages. Message frequency varies with your theatre activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, auditioning, or participation. You may use Glowtape without subscribing to texts.

Glowtape uses a shared number for participating theatres. Reply STOP to stop all Glowtape texts from that number. To stop only one theatre, use Text preferences. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@glowtape.app. Replying START removes the number-wide block; it does not restore theatre permissions you withdrew. Opt in again for the theatres whose texts you want.

Use only a mobile number you control. Let Glowtape know if you change or give up that number. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See the Privacy policy for mobile-number and consent handling, and the text messaging guide for the subscription flow.

Theatre subscriptions

Personal Glowtape accounts are free. An adult who is at least 18 and authorized to act for a theatre may purchase a theatre subscription on the Glowtape website. The purchaser confirms that they may accept these terms for the theatre and use the selected payment method.

A theatre subscription costs $20 USD per theatre per month, plus any applicable taxes displayed at checkout before purchase. Each subscription covers one theatre organization. Access begins after successful checkout. It renews automatically each month until canceled. The purchaser can cancel future renewal through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues through that date. If a payment fails, Glowtape may retry the payment or suspend the theatre workspace until billing is resolved. Payments are nonrefundable except where required by law. Glowtape does not provide refunds or credits for partial months unless applicable law requires one. Ending a theatre subscription does not make a person's free account a paid account. Mobile apps

Glowtape does not offer purchases or subscriptions inside its iOS or Android apps. Theatre service is purchased and managed on the Glowtape website, outside the mobile apps. The mobile apps provide access to a person's account and to theatre workspaces that have already been authorized.

Availability + changes

Features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, or service problems. You may stop using Glowtape at any time. Account deletion instructions are available on the account deletion page.
